Belts & Lineage
The current live site does not publish formal grading rules. This page keeps only lineage information already stated on the About page.
The name Rio Grappling Club is a tribute to one of the best BJJ competition teams that existed in the 90’s in Rio de Janeiro: Rio Jiu-Jitsu Club.
Roberto Atalla and Mauro Chueng met there, shared the mats for over two years, and both received their black belts there.
Formal belt requirements, grading rules, and progression standards should only be added after official copy is supplied.
